The British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) has recently issued us with a new BFRC certificate for one of our PVCu Casement windows. This is a significant move forward by Norscot in developing a highly energy efficient window. The new certificate not only confirms the window achieves the highest rating level – A it also has a staggeringly impressive Energy Rating of 17.
This proves that the energy efficiency of our window is fantastic and leads the way in the development of windows for the 21st Century.
At Norscot we have always tried to ensure our windows are not only good value but are also at the forefront of window development and this achievement ensures we are still ahead of our competitors when it comes to energy efficiency.
What is the BFRC?. Well the BFRC Scheme is the UK’s National system for rating the energy efficiency of windows and is recognised within the Building Regulations as a method to show compliance for your replacement window installation.
The Window Energy Ratings use a consumer-friendly traffic-light style A-E ratings guide similar to that used on ‘white’ goods (such as fridge, freezers, washing machines etc…).
In simple terms this rating label will help you determine how well a product will perform the functions of:
- Helping you contain and conserve heat within your building in the winter.
- Keep out the wind.
- Resist condensation.
- Contribute to improved sound insulation.
Check out the BFRC web site to confirm that this is an official certificate, type Norscot into the ‘find a company’ section and you will see not only do we have the above certificate number 3891 but we also hold a number of A, B and C rated certificates for some of our other windows.
