Tilt and turn windows have a dual-action movement which provides access to three different window operations: locking, opening and tilting Tilt and turn windows can be opened fully (similar to a door) or they can be tilted from the top, giving a smaller opening for ventilation Being fully openable, tilt & turn windows make an ideal fire escape.
