To kickstart the events for the year, ten members of Team Norscot took part in Teclan’s Million Steps for Mikeysline fundraising initiative.
Together with other Highland businesses, our team pledged to donate £1 for every 10,000 steps walked in July. By the end of the month, we walked 3,313,925 million steps and with match funding from the company, raised over £700!
Overall, the twelve teams taking part in the challenge walked a record-breaking 47,380,472 steps, raising just under £6,000!
The challenge was about more than just raising funds for Mikeysline (as great as that is!) – it’s well-known that getting out and about walking in the fresh air really improves our physical and mental health.
