CE MARKING

From the 1st of July 2013, CE Marking was made mandatory on all external windows and doors. CE Marking indicates that a product conforms to legal requirements in specific European technical standards known as harmonised European Norms (hEN). It enables a product to be placed legally on the market in any European member state.

Part of this standard requires Norscot to provide instructions on Storage, Handling Safety and Installation (if supply only) Maintenance and Care and a declaration regarding Dangerous Substances as required by the REACH regulations.

Dangerous Substances

Another requirement of CE marking is that the manufacturer has to make a Declaration of Performance (DOP) assuming legal responsibility for the conformity of the construction product with its declared performance.
