Completed in 2023, the client embarked on a self-build journey in Kilchoan; choosing a Norscot design as the foundation for their dream home. Already owning the site they were going to be building on helped relieve what can be a significant stressor in the self-build process.
During the initial stages of the project, the client looked for inspiration online before engaging in an exploratory meeting with us. Reflecting on their Norscot experience, they praised the assistance received, stating: “Norscot has been very helpful from start to finish. Ian, Keir and James have been first class.”
They opted to customise the Norscot Braemore kit by flipping it and making minor alterations to suit their preferences. This unique ‘L’ shaped three-bedroom home features a well-proportioned dual-aspect lounge and a spacious kitchen diner, which they say is the highlight of the new home.
This project is a successful example of effective collaboration between a client, a local contractor, and an experienced kit home provider. Norscot’s expertise and support combined with the client’s clear communication and the local knowledge provided by the contractor, has resulted in a beautiful and functional home.
