At Norscot, we’re proud to have a diverse and talented team contributing to the company’s success. In this post, we’re excited to introduce Joanna Higham, one of our dedicated Sales Consultants based in Inverness.
Why Norscot?
With previous experience in sales, particularly in the windows and doors industry, Joanna was looking for a new challenge when she came across Norscot. She was drawn to the company by the positive feedback she’d heard and the reputation Norscot has built over its 40 years of operation. “I pride myself on working with a company that has created so many job opportunities in the Highlands,” she says.
Joanna has a keen understanding of the competitive nature of the industry, and she’s excited about Norscot’s commitment to improving customer service. The company’s approach emphasises reliability, quality, and open communication—qualities Joanna values.
A Day in the Life
From helping customers make decisions about their home improvement projects to managing contracts and providing quotations, Joanna plays a key part in the smooth running of the Inverness office. She handles administrative duties and supports customers from their first enquiry to processing orders, whether through telephone or face-to-face interactions in the showroom.
When asked what she enjoys most, Joanna says, “I thoroughly enjoy spending time with customers in the showroom and watching the process unfold. It’s a huge achievement when you see your quotations turn into orders.” Her passion for customer service is evident, and she takes great pride in helping homeowners bring their visions to life.
The Future of Norscot
As Norscot continues to grow, Joanna is optimistic about what the future holds. She sees the home improvement industry evolving and believes Norscot is well-positioned to adapt. “The new management team’s restructuring efforts and clear vision, combined with Norscot’s years of experience, will help the company go from strength to strength,” she explains.
Life Outside of Work
Born and raised in Inverness, Joanna is deeply connected to her family. Married at 21 and a proud mum by 22, she enjoys spending time with her daughter. Running with her three-year-old black Labrador, Teddy, and going shopping with her daughter are among her favourite pastimes.
Many might be surprised to learn that Joanna was an accomplished gymnast growing up, winning several competitions. When it comes to relaxation, she loves unwinding with her favourite TV shows, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, or enjoying a comforting plate of spaghetti bolognese.
We’re thrilled to have Joanna as part of Team Norscot and look forward to seeing her thrive in her new role. If you’re visiting our showroom, be sure to say hello!
