Norscot Awarded Silver Status in Highland Employer Charter Initiative

We’re proud to announce that Norscot has been officially awarded Silver Charter Status as part of the Highland Employer Charter initiative — a recognition of our ongoing commitment to supporting our employees, our community, and the environment.

This milestone marks the successful completion of the first phase of the Charter, and we’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the Highland Council and the Confirmation Panel for their support and recognition. We’re especially grateful to have been part of this pioneering initiative, which aims to celebrate and encourage responsible employment practices across the Highlands. This initiative also aligns closely with our vision to manufacture sustainable, accessible, and affordable products that enhance people’s lives and benefit our community.

During the assessment site visit, the panel commended Norscot for our efforts in:

  • Supporting employee transport and accessibility
  • Contributing to community wealth building
  • Engaging with the third sector
  • Advancing net zero ambitions

As part of our Chartership, we understand that this award is tied to a 1-year commitment, and we welcome the opportunity for reassessment in one calendar year to reaffirm our progress across all pillars.

“This award is a reflection of the values we hold as a company — fairness, sustainability, and community. I’m incredibly proud of our team and grateful for the recognition from the Highland Council.”

Iain Polworth, Inverness Branch Manager, who attended the award ceremony, shared:

“It was an honour to represent Norscot at the Chamber and accept the Silver Award on behalf of our colleagues. Recognition like this reinforces the value of the work we’re doing and motivates us to keep pushing forward.”

We’re proud of this achievement and remain focused on strengthening our workplace, deepening our community impact, and driving progress toward a more sustainable future.
