Successfully maintaining any relationship for two decades is a remarkable feat, and a cause for celebration, and for Norscot Joinery and VEKA, the corks are popping as they recognise a twenty-year relationship that has lasted the test of time!
Scottish based Norscot Joinery (a Network VEKA fabricator) specialises in windows, doors and conservatories, and was formed in 1984. Four years later, the company was introduced to the VEKA modus operandi and hasn’t looked back since!
‘As VEKA has evolved over the years, so have we,’ comments Callum Grant, Commercial Director at Norscot. ‘We have embraced new technologies and we have moved with the times as window manufacture has become more advanced and more sophisticated. Because we have always received consistency from VEKA with both quality and support, they have always been our chosen supplier.’

The location of the company may well have fazed less dedicated suppliers but, says Mr Grant, VEKA’s delivery response has been exemplary. ‘We began with monthly deliveries, then fortnightly and now, as the company is operating to a much larger capacity, we receive deliveries on a weekly basis,’ he explains. ‘This is a crucial reliability as any delays are passed onto our customers and this is unacceptable practice.’
‘Norscot have been one of our largest customers north of the border for twenty years,’ comments Colin Torley, Sales and Marketing Director at VEKA, who was initially instrumental in gaining and retaining the company’s business. ‘We have a great respect for Norscot and have taken on board suggestions that the company has made to facilitate their business with their customer base.’
Norscot identified a gap in the Scottish market for both reversible and vertical sliding options, both of which VEKA has developed. ‘Over the years, as a forward thinking company and market leaders in our field, we have investigated other products and other comparative companies, but they never match up to the VEKA standards,’ concludes Mr Grant. ‘The Matrix profile has been established and recognised as the original and iconic leading profile in the marketplace and VEKA employs the same exacting quality standards with its service and support. With twenty years of mutually beneficial trading behind us, we look forward to many more years of the same!’
Norscot Joinery operates throughout Scotland, manufacturing and distributing a range of windows, doors and conservatories. The company operates from a 25,000sq ft factory, with incorporated office space and an all product showroom. The factory is equipped with sophisticated computer controlled machinery which helps produce the widest range of building components and related products available from a single source anywhere in Scotland. The use of the versatile Matrix profile enables the company to produce a range of PVCu windows and doors in white, cherrywood and rosewood finishes in casement, top swing and tilt and turn options for the windows.
As well as celebrating 20 successful years with VEKA, Norscot are also the Scottish winners of the Network VEKA annual Customer Satisfaction Award for 2007
