The Norscot Story: 2010s

The 2010s was a transformative decade for us, marked by significant growth and innovation; beginning with the manufacturing of the Design-5 alu-clad timber composite window. We also secured a contract to replace the windows and external doors at Castletown Primary School.

The following year, we undertook a strategic business review and refreshed our brand image. By 2012, we acquired design rights from A M Profiles Ltd and launched ALuWood Windows.

In 2013, we won contracts for 23 self-catering lodges and a hotel extension at John O’Groats, and for replacing windows and doors in multiple primary schools. That year also saw the formation of Cottage Kit Homes Ltd.

We celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2014 and enhanced energy efficiency by installing a log-burning boiler at our headquarters.

Recognised for our excellence in customer service in 2015, we continued to expand, forming partnerships and installing advanced machinery. Callum Grant became Managing Director in 2017.

By 2018, we were awarded ‘Innovation of the Year’ in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde. We concluded the decade by celebrating our 35th anniversary in 2019, marking a period of sustained success and innovation.
