At Norscot, we take pride in our dedicated and experienced team, with each member contributing unique skills and passion to their roles. Today, we’re excited to introduce Nick Bruce, who is based in our Bower showroom. Originally from Glasgow, he has settled in Caithness with his family and has been part of our team for a year.
Why Norscot?
One of the biggest reasons Nick was drawn to Norscot was its roots in the Highlands. He was looking for an opportunity to work for a local company that understands the unique needs of the region. “Norscot felt like the perfect fit—it’s a business that values community as much as I do, and that made the decision to join an easy one,” he explains.
A Typical Day in the Office
“A typical day involves a mix of fieldwork and office duties,” Nick says. He starts by visiting customers at their homes to assess their needs. After gathering the necessary measurements and information, he returns to the office to build tailored quotes. Throughout the day, he also handles phone calls and assists walk-in customers at our showroom, ensuring that everyone receives the attention and service they deserve.
A Rewarding Job
“The most rewarding part of my role at Norscot is being able to help our local community. Whether it’s helping someone find the perfect windows or supporting them through a home renovation, my goal is always the same – making sure the customer is happy. When they walk away smiling, I know I’ve made a difference, and that’s what truly motivates me,” Nick says.
Looking Ahead: Excitement for the Future
There’s a lot to be excited about at Norscot right now. The business is growing, and we’re rolling out new marketing strategies, including TV adverts, to reach more customers than ever before.
The Future of Construction and Home Improvement
The construction and home improvement industries are always evolving, and this is part of what makes working at Norscot so exciting—every day brings something new,” he says.
Outside of Work
Nick loves spending time outdoors, often accompanied by his family. “My dog, Cooper, is part of that family, and he and my son love running around together and causing mischief. It’s chaotic, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world,” he shares.
His favourite place to visit is Vietnam. “It was a bit of a culture shock, but the people were amazing, and the sights and food were even better,” he says.
Stay tuned to meet more members of our team who make Norscot a trusted name in the home improvement and self-build industries.
